Some people don't seem to have read or remembered the groups rules, so this is a reminder. Please, read the rules for the group and read the folder descriptions if you haven't or don't remember them. These rules are on the home page for the group and have been there since before I became the founder of this group(some have been added to the group such as the ones about dA's rule). There are people submitting fan art(this group is OCs only), artwork that against the rules of this group and dA(the most common being this: FAQ #60: Do you allow "Adult", explicit sexual or pornographic content on deviantART? How about linking off site?
), or submitting into the incorrect folders(there is information about each folder when you click on them). Your artwork will be declined if your submission breaks one of the group rules. I can't speak for the others accepting and declining artwork for the group, but I usually leave a comment about why it was declined, as reminders or for help. However, it is becoming tedious, since there are a lot of times I have to send the message to people, sometimes the same people, about the same issue.
Fan Art vs Original Characters: While this is a blurry issue, here is the best way I can think up to describe the two. Fan art is when there are characters from a movie, TV show, video game, book, anime/cartoon, manga/comic, ect... Such as: Marvel Characters, Doctor Who, Sherlock Homes, Free!, and Pokemon. Real life people similarly aren't accepted either. We do accept fan characters, which are characters made by a fan that are part of those existing universes, but not fan art itself. Original characters are characters created that exist in their own universe and don't belong to an existing one. We allow other people's OCs into the group, they don't strictly have to be your own. This includes things, such as commissions of another person's OC(s) that you have drawn for them. Sometimes this is a blurry definition, since some people have their own comics/stories and publish them, so at times we do have to decided to accept them or not because of this, usually we do, since it is either a commission from the original creator of the characters or is from the original creator(s) of these characters. Please understand, this group has always been for OCs since its creation, so I would like to keep it that way, we do affiliate with fan groups/accept fan art, so please check them out if you do want to find a place to submit your fan art at.
(I updated this journal, since I would continue to like to feature commissions/projects/ect on the front page of the group, and I have yet how to learn to do that some other way and I don't have much time to do it yet, either...)
