The Wearing of the Green
_{Or the wearing of the orange, if you prefer! It's all about how people all around the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day, even if they aren't of Irish descent! Submissions for the contest must be based around the celebration of Paddy's Day with one or more of the following themes, some of which are things and some of which are traditions (and not necessarily strictly Irish ones).}

A shamrock, either a real one or something with a shamrock on it.
Leprechauns, either of the "modern" or the "original" depiction. (See about both types here.)
Holiday-suited clothing, either green or orange.
Green dye, whether what is dyed be food, liquid, or even hair.

<sub>But don't let my list restrict your creativity! Though you must pick a general item off the list, you can still be creative about it. Maybe your character isn't wearing green (or orange), but forgot to and is being pinched/picked on by those who didn't forget. Or perhaps they aren't downing drinks dyed green, but helped dye the water in a fountain green. Maybe they even started a food fight while in the midst of preparing a St. Patrick's Day feast. There are so many ways to celebrate!

Also, submissions may be either a drawing, a story, a comic, or even a photograph. Just make sure that the main person or persons involved in the celebration (even if one is not depicted/drawn) are male. And the entries must be made new, just for this St. Patrick's Day!</sub>



Deadline: 03/16/10 March 16th, 2010
_{However, entries may be submitted any time between now and then. Just make sure to send the group a note telling me that the club submission is also a contest entry. If you do not do this, I won't count it as an entry, even if you showed prior interest in entering the contest!}



Judging: Will me done by me, myself, and I. I hope to have decided the winner and runner-up by the 18th, at the latest.




Note: No deviations other than those of the winner and runner-up will be in the Featured folder until the end of March.

The contest is now over. We managed to get more than the minimum ten that we were hoping for!
